Description

As a Junior Security Engineer-CDS, you will support the MDA Cross Domain Support Element (CDSE) throughout the CDS project lifecycle to include all deliverables that support accreditation, integration, implementation, testing and annual security revalidation. Work closely with the CDSE project manager and team in completion of project milestones and deliverables. Assist in development and on-time delivery of progress reports, accreditation documentation and presentations. Proactively support changes in project scope and help identify potential risks throughout the Cross Domain Solution (CDS) lifecycle. Document and archive CDS project lessons learned, and ensure lessons learned are integrated into the CDS project planning and execution. Actively engage with other organizations and personnel to gather key technical details, requirements and constraints regarding the CDS projects. And assist with scheduling, coordination and completion of the annual security revalidation for the MDA CDSs, to include the required documentation to support issuance of the annual CDS Authorization (CDSA) document.

Tasks :

  • Attend initial and on-going Security Design Engineering discussions and project planning meetings that consist of Boundary Protection Design Engineering, Computer Network Defense (CND) Design Engineering and Cross-Domain Solution (CDS) Design Engineering. Document, track and coordinate major milestones and key technical requirements.

  • Support the Security Design Engineering team in development of all required accreditation documents, presentations, test plans, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and other CDS related documentation.

  • Assist in planning and coordinating with customers to proactively prepare required documentation for Security Design Engineering, to include CDS annual revalidation requirements process and maintain a CDS annual revalidation schedule.

  • Provide 60-day and 30-day notices to the Security Design Engineering team for all MDA CDS annual revalidation efforts, and ensure key milestones are completed on time.

  • Track completion of the CDS annual revalidation process, to ensure CDS Authorizations (CDSAs) do not expire and socialize progress to CDS Lead and Security Design Engineering Manager.

  • Support CDS-related Information Assurance (IA) tasks and accreditations.

  • Maintain an active account on the DISA GIAP/SGS portal, and assist in ensuring all CDS accreditation documents are posted to the portal as required.Attend various Boundary Protection Design Engineering, CND, and CDS technical forums, meetings and discussions, and document key details regarding Security Design Engineering requirements, architecture, capabilities, limitations and CDS policy requirements to be provided to the Security Design Engineering Manager in a timely and repetitive manner.Support Boundary Protection Design Engineering, CND and CDS integration and testing events.

Qualifications

Requirements :

  • Bachelor's of Sciencedegree and four (4) years of technical administrative experience;

  • Cybersecurity background.

  • Active Secret Clearance.

  • Proficient with MS Office Products (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.).

  • Ability to multi-task and remain organized in a dynamic work environment.

  • Ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of customers and staff.

  • Self-starter, excellent personal initiative and demonstrated experience effectively balancing multiple concurrent technical oriented activities.

  • Knowledge, aptitude and experience communicating with government customers, engineers and technical staff regarding requirements, design, performance, network security interfaces and architectures.

Candidate must be a US Citizen Candidate must have a current active DoD Secret security clearance

Desired :

  • 5 years of technical experience.

  • Recent (within the last three years) experience with the DoD CDS accreditation processes.

  • Knowledge and experience with U.S. military tactical and simulation message types, formats and protocols (e.g., Link-16, DIS, JREAP).
