TheSecurityDesignEngineering,CDSEngineerwillmanagetheComputerNetworkDefense{CND) and Cross-Domain Solutions(CDS)project life cycle toinclude scope, schedule, milestones and deliverablesthatsupport collaborationwithseniormanagementstakeholdersusingestablishedEarnedValueandIREStoolsetsandprocedures.Setand continuallymanageprojectexpectationsforteammembersand stakeholders,and identifyandresolve issues andconflictswithintheproject team. Manageandidentify project dependencies andcriticalpath. Develop anddeliverprogress reports,proposals,requirementsdocumentation and presentations.Proactivelymanagechanges inprojectscope,identify potential risksanddevisecontingencyplans.DefineprojectsuccesscriteriaanddisseminatetotheCNDandCDSteamsthroughoutthe project life cycle.Document project lessonslearned andcreate a recommendationsreportin ordertoidentify successfulandunsuccessfulprojectelements. Contributetothe developmentofprojectengineeringandmanagement bestpractices,alongwithtoolstosupporteffectiveandefficientprojectexecutionandmanagement.SupportCDSandCNDlabconfigurationcontrolmethodologies,equipment requirements and ensuring technicalcompetenciesto maintain arobustset oflab resources,applicationsandtoolsnecessarytoexecuteCDSandCNDintegrationandSite-BasedSecurityAssessment(SBSA).

Tasks:

  • Workwiththeprojecttechnicalleadstoexecuteprojectschedulingactivitiesincludingprojectplandevelopment,projectmonitoring andcontrol,andintegratedchangecontrol.

  • ServeasmentortoSecurityDesignEngineerstoaidindevelopmentofworkschedules.

  • Analyze,compileandpresentprojectspecificdatafromavarietyofsourcestomeeton-demandneeds.

  • Utilize informationmanagement, access controlsmanagement,configurationmanagement, programintegration and communications, and riskmanagementprocesses tosupportprojectteams.

  • FacilitateinternalCDSteamcommunicationsandmeetings.

  • Utilizeinformationmanagement,configurationmanagement,programintegrationandcommunications,andriskmanagementprocessestosupportprojectteams.

  • Workwithvariousdepartmentengineeringdisciplinestoplan,establishandmonitorsecurityprojectsundercontracttoMDA.

  • ForecastandreportcontractualCDSdocumentschedule,controlsandforecastingsubmittals.

Qualifications

Requirements :

  • Bachelor's of Science from an accredited engineering school in technical discipline

  • 10 years of technical engineering experience

  • Windows and NIX (Solaris, Linux) operating systems experience

  • Aptitude and ability to evaluate the functional operations and performance of the Cross Domain Solutions

  • Plan, initiate, prepare, coordinate and lead technical discussions with the CDS customers

  • Ability to travel internationally for short periods of time (normally one to two week periods at a time), approximately four to six trips annually

  • Experience with DoD software security, risk analysis tools and risk assessments

  • Ability to comprehend and analyze system and data protocol specifications, translate requirements to support CDS integration tasks and perform data analysis and generation.

  • Obtain a DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II certification (e.g., CISSP, Security CEH, etc.) within six months of hire

  • Ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of customers and staff

  • Self-starter, strong personal initiative and highly capable of effectively balancing, multiple concurrent CDS activities

  • Ability to communicate with engineers and technical staff regarding CDS requirements, design, performance, network interfaces, architectures and assess potential limitations/issues

Candidate must be a US Citizen

Candidate must have an active current Top Secret DoD security clearance

Desired :

  • Cross Domain Accreditation experience

  • CISSP, CEH, CAP

  • PMP Certified.

  • ITIL Certified.

  • Technical Degree and 5 years of CDS engineering experience.

  • Cybersecurity domain knowledge.

  • Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) domain knowledge and project management.
