Works under the supervision of the Supply Chain Manager or Supervisor and is a member of the Specialty Departments Supply Chain Management Team. Responsible for the overall management of inventory in assigned unit(s) as it relates to supply replenishment, maximizing quality, minimizing costs and supporting department goals within system supply chain objectives. Responsible for having a working knowledge of the product lines associated with assigned specialty department. Supports department to ensure existing inventory and associated expenses are within budgeted targets. Responsible for ensuring consumable supplies are accurately controlled to reduce obsolescence, outdates and waste within the assigned unit(s). This is accomplished through the maintenance of appropriate inventory levels based on PAR Optimization utilization calculations, product rotation; outdate management and ongoing communications with both the customer and Supply Chain Management team. Responsible for all replenishment orders, managing returns, recalls and product conversions within areas of assigned responsibility to include ensuring proper supply levels, labeling and changes in Lawson. Coordinates and performs scheduled physical inventories of assigned areas within the specialty areas and works with the Supply Chain Management Team and department management to analyze outcomes to adjust inventory levels as appropriate.
_Minimum Education Requirements_
- High School Diploma or GED required.
_Minimum Experience Requirements_
2 years Healthcare Supply Chain Management experience required
Microsoft Excel and Word at a Beginners Level
Lawson ERP experience is preferred
- CMRP preferred
_Position Duties (essential functions denoted with an * )_
Responsible for maintaining Lawson based on PAR Optimization reports to ensure it is current and reflects the latest changes within the specialty service area.*
Requires a working knowledge of medical/surgical supplies normally associated with specialty department, to enhance communications and meet the needs of Page 2 of 4 Supply Chain Lead specialty departments as assigned.*
Responsible for performing daily inventory of assigned areas with the specialty area.*
This includes ordering, receiving breakdown, stocking, rotation, cleaning, labeling, returns and other actions as appropriate.*
Responsible for ensuring delivery for scheduled surgery implants and instruments, completes the bill-only paperwork for payment.*
Establishes and maintains consignment Inventories physical counts are performed on a quarterly basis in accordance with established Supply Chain Enterprise Business Process.*
Works directly with Supply Chain Manager or Supervisor and assigned staff to validate inventory levels as identified through the use of par optimization reports.*
Ensures proper tagging of outdated, backordered and out of stock products using the appropriate labels established in the Supply Chain EBP’s.*
Reviews daily backorder notification report and takes appropriate action to obtain supplies required for patient care delivery.*
Communicates with customer and Supply Chain Manager when problems arise regarding manufacturer.*
Communicates backorders and out of stock supplies or unusual movement of supply item.*
Supports clinical coordinators with new products research and subsequent implementation.*
