RJ Montgomery Center-Homeless Shelter – Colorado Springs, Colorado

The Salvation Army is seeking to fill a position for Front Desk Associate for our homeless shelter. The position performs basic front desk and receptionist duties to include, answering phones, filing and data entry. Maintaining a caring attitude toward all

residents, maintain supplies as necessary for front desk operations, assist in the intake process from residents and recording pertinent information. Perform other duties as assigned. This is a full time, non-exempt position with benefits.


Position Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent

• Experience working with people

• Ability to file, do data entry and have basic clerical skills

• Ability to de-escalate a potential crisis

• Ability to multitask and possess strong interpersonal skills

• Microsoft Word, Lotus Notes required

• Ability to use new software programs with basic training

• Ability to be accurate in collection of vital statistics during intake and discharge of clients

• Have a humane and caring attitude toward all residents

• Ability to give a high priority for the welfare of all residents

• Ability to read and write in the English language
