Responsible for the identification of relevant new business opportunities and designs "go-to-market" plan to deliver measurable and significant revenues. Pursues sales opportunities in the market, and carries the baton in the beginning of the sales cycle.
A Business Development Representative is assigned to strategic accounts which may be grouped by industry where Oracle has a limited presence. Acts as primary liaison between Consulting, Sales, and Oracle Development for the products sales opportunities. Generates business opportunities through prospecting mass market programs and leveraging third party partners. Develops and coordinates a worldwide relationship with customers that establishes Oracle as a preferred vendor and optimizes Oracles sales of product. Executes aggressive strategies and plans to successfully drive the product as the preferred customer selection. Provides account representatives with information on how the product addresses specific needs, and assists account representatives in using Oracle*s products to leverage large revenue opportunities. Assists in articulating product message, coordinates technical resources and hands off deals to a successful close.

Viewed by peers as a leader and top contributor and by line management as a key business partner. 12 years of progressively increased responsibilities in sales or sales management. Marketing and business development experience preferred. Proven track record in managing multiple opportunities and ability to negotiate and close complex deals. Ability to determine strategy and tactical plans that deliver tangible results. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills. Ability to Travel as needed. BA/BS degree or equivalent, advanced degree highly desirable.

_Organization / Team Description: North America Applications/ Sales Programs_
Our mission is to create opportunity, increase sales efficiency and accelerate closure for Oracle Cloud products. Specifically, we develop and manage demand generation focused sales programs that are aligned with Oracle Cloud strategies and executed by Oracle SaaS Application sellers. This entails determining the overall addressable market for a given solution, associated business justification, and best practice enablement strategies. We also produce applicable selling assets and provide sales support throughout the lifecycle of the sales programs which includes identifying target customers, field enablement, workshops, best practices, performance measurement and reporting.
The primary goals are: (1) to help drive accelerated revenue growth for sales of Oracle Cloud Applications, (2) to leverage Oracle cross line of business solutions that drive business transformation to our customers. This includes: Oracle ERP, EPM, SCM, HCM, Sales Automation, Sales Services, and Marketing application suites. (3) to identify and develop repeatable patterns of success and pass into selling channels.
This Business Development Representative position, within the North America Applications business unit, is an individual contributor on a team responsible for the business development, demand generation, and sales into new areas of opportunity for Oracle Cloud Applications. Specific focus will be on leading the development, launch, on-going execution, and reporting for Oracle Cloud Application sales plays that utilize Guided Selling models of execution.
The candidate will work closely with Business Development, Product Marketing Managers, Sales Operations, and Field Sales to influence and ensure that sales program messaging, assets, and enablement are appropriately aligned with strategic objectives and conform to the requirements mandated by defined models of execution. The candidate is responsible for preparing projects schedules and ensuring that all deliverables and interdependencies are identified, assigned, and tracked throughout the lifecycle of the sales program.
The ideal candidate has experience performing marketing and/or business development of Oracle products into Global 2000 accounts. The successful candidate should be comfortable working across lines of business to create and drive programs, and capable of supporting business development and sales in a highly competitive environment at all levels of business and IT.
The job responsibility includes understanding and communicating the value proposition associated with Oracle Cloud Applications and related solutions. Preferred candidates will be able to demonstrate the ability to lead the marketing of total solutions, be guiders, motivators, self starters and know how to work with various internal & external teams to win business.
Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced marketing/business skills in areas of solution selling.
Targeting candidates with the following skills and/or experience: proven marketing program or sales execution & leadership, excellent written & spoken communication skills, ability to managecross line of businessteams, knowledge and understanding of cloud and on-premises solutions comprised of applications, middleware and databases. The successful candidate will have an understanding of how these solutions and technologies can solve business issues.
Minimum 5-10 years applicable experience including 3-5 years of program management, demand generation, business development, sales enablement / support within an organization focused on growing market and revenue share of Oracle hardware and software products and related solutions.
Knowledge of Oracle Cloud Application portfolios. Knowledge of on-premises Oracle Database, Middleware, and/or Application products is a plus.
Ability to manage leading contributors individually and as team members, providing direction and mentoring.
Team player with strong interpersonal /communication skills.
Able to participate in multiple activities simultaneously and manage a wide variety of tasks with priorities and goals.
Up to 10% travel may be required (varies).
Bachelor degree or equivalent. MBA preferred
